Mr Atrocity is a largish furry omnivore most often found in an urban environment. Sightings confirm a preference for tweed and tea. He is easily lured into traps baited with a well placed cup of Assam and a slice of ginger cake. Hunters have exploited this weakness to the point where he is on the verge of extinction.

God that looks great. As a kiwi living in Florida it has been too long since I have had a decent fish and chips. In most places I have tried to order it here they usually cover the fish in a doughy thick batter and the chips all seem to be the pre made skinny kind. Will just keep on trying, someone is bound to get it right. Must add that there are a lot of restaurants near where I live on the Gulf of Mexico who do fab fish meals; just not the wonderful dish in your picture.

It was a massive relief when Tinseltroos and I moved in to our flat last year to find a good local chippie. They are frighteningly thin on the ground here these days.
There is something wonderful in knowing that if I've had a rotten day, or haven't had much for lunch, or am feeling plain lazy that I can get good fish and chips en route home.
From what I hear, it's almost impossible to get good fish and chips anywhere in the US. I still like the bad fish and chips too.
